1. Using compromised assets
Some tokens used to be real but lost their value because of hacks or network issues. One example is the Fantom network, where old tokens can sometimes be bought cheap. These tokens may show in Tier-1 wallets until the issue is fixed.
We get 1 BTC for ~$2,600, and it will display at the real price in many wallets.
Another case is wrapped ETH (wETH) on Solana, which lost its peg and was available at much lower prices.
We get 1 ETH for ~$500, and it will display at the real price in many wallets, including Trust Wallet.
